You are not the only one. It looks like Amazon bots are misbehaving again. Many sellers are reporting that they are receiving numerous violations. Apparently, the products are flagged for containing ingredients like bimatoprost or isopropyl cloprostenate, which are not allowed to be sold on Amazon. I received 6 violations in the last few days, and all of them are false. Of course, I am appealing them and first reply was a success. Now I am waiting for the listing to be reinstated

A number of sellers have reported their accounts have been deactivated or at risk of deactivation for just one violation. When I received a violation, I deleted the listing I got so panicked seeing “ policy violation, account at risk of deactivation” and lost inventory.

How do you manage to keep your account active despite all those violations? Do you supply images of the product with your appeals to prove there no prohibited substance on the list of ingredients?

I received one last week, the ASIN was reinstating today but the violation remains in my account health. I don’t know what to do. Another one came today the page was removed from the catalog . It’s crazy. Need advice. They asked to make a removal order, relist or refresh stranded reason. Need help. Any suggestion? My account dropped more than 60 points in the past few months because of these kind of violations.

I’ve received several in the last few days from all different brands. You can try taking clear legible pictures of the product packaging from all sides and then uploading the images on the listing.

Guys,
Thanks for your thoughts and experience sharing.
I am making OA via FBA joined subject listing a couple of month ago with 10 items of stock and no sales so far.
Links provided in Performance Notification email and leading to Account Health do not provide opportunity to file any appeal or take further action on this issue. There are no issues in this matter so far in Account Health.
Everything Amazon does in connection with us as sellers looks very strange and incompetent.

Despite of this I am going to appeal to send at least a screenshot from suppliers website with listing of product containing no prohibited to sale products.

Could you please advise me how to do this as none of the links for filling appeal works as there are no visible violations/ issues to see.

Thank You!

Hello @Ray,

thank you for joining the forum, I am very happy to see you there

Over the past two weeks, many sellers were complaining about getting sudden waves of restricted products violations and various listings blocked. I had it happen to me as well. I didn’t do anything and the listings were reinstated on their own.

Why is your account deactivated? This doesn’t appear to have anything to do with it.

I don’t think that a mascara would normally attract this sort of a complaint. So I would advise you to either leave it like it is or delete the listing, if you no longer need to sell it.

Feel free to provide more information about the deactivation so I can advise.

Hi, Kika,

Thank You for response.
Yes, my seller account is deactivated since June 19, 2024 under Section 3. After video verification supply chain documents were requested for two ASINS. It was done many times but with no success. (Not enough info to reactivate your seller account). So by now one “reputable” company is assisting in this matter. Last we have done - notification to BBB. Case was registered. Still waiting response so far.

However Notification of Restricted Products Removal (for mascara) arrived on August 2, 2024. There are only 10 pieces in stock.

Kindly advise if it is better as soon as possible to close/ delete listing and create removal, to do nothing and wait for Amazon will do it or try to appeal wit hope to sell stock after account reinstatement. By the same time I am afraid to have second deactivation of account over existing one…

Since I am new in this business (since Jan, 2024) and it has already become my lovely hobby any information would be very useful.

Thank You!

It looks like some people got deactivated after complaining about this and had their appeals rejected by bots. So, I would rather wait to see if the listings get reactivated on their own.

Hmm… it seems that lash and hair serums are being targeted. But how can you identify all these problematic substances? Amazon said eye liners have isopropyl as well.

I’ve received 3 so far. Also, my health score dropped by 4 points, one is categorized as “high impact.” If Amazon had competent service and management this wouldn’t happen.

Any idea how to fight these kind of violations? One of the hair products I was selling was hit by Minoxidil complaint and I checked the ingredients and it doesn’t contain this.

I received it on 5 different ones. I checked ingredients and none of them contains substances above. How to appeal these successfully?

Does it affect the ones which are sold after getting proper approval from brand itself as well ?

It is all about ingredients which are not allowed to be sold on Amazon. This will ease off in time. Just Amazon doing their rounds.

I managed to appeal one , still fighting the others:

-provide a real image with the ingredients from the packaging

-provide an image and link from the brand website with the ingredients (if possible)

I had this and provided this info, but they keep telling me to I need to edit the listing (which has been removed from the catalogue) to remove the violation, is this what you done?

By the way, other way I found very handy to get images in all sides of the item is to search for “product name + unboxing”. There are hundreds of youtubers and tiktokers who has high quality video of all sides of the item in their hands, just get a nice quality screenshot
