No invoice uploaded note

Hi everyone,

could someone please explain this to me? I’m a new seller doing OA, and this order is FBM. The item has already been delivered to the buyer, and there hasn’t been any invoice request from their side.

If an invoice were needed, wouldn’t Amazon provide it? This is my first time encountering this situation, so I’d appreciate any clarification.

Thank you in advance!

You are obligated by Amazon to upload an invoice to the order for all business customers within 24 hours whether they ask you or not and to any customer that requests it.

You can use a free invoice generator if you don’t have the facility or you can create one in a word processor or spreadsheet program.

Either you activate Amazon VAT Services and they generate it for you or you get a third party software (e.g. Billbee or Easybill) who does it and uploads it to Amazon.

Since you’re doing FBM, Amazon expects you to provide invoices if requested, as they don’t generate them for seller-fulfilled orders. Sometimes buyers need invoices for business or VAT purposes, even if they didn’t request one upfront. You can create one manually or use an invoicing tool.

No worries, but if you read Amazon’s policies, you are required to provide an invoice to every business buyer by default, and Seller Central has a metric for this as well. However, if the buyer does not request an invoice, you can ignore it, but if they do request one, you should definitely provide it.
