New seller verification

Hello guys,

I’m setting up my Seller Central account as a sole trader and have used my personal debit card.

I have a few questions:

  1. I see a list of countries marked as “active.” Does this mean I will be charged fees if I list my products? I only want to sell in the UK. What should I do?
  2. At the top of the page, it says “limited to €15,000.” Is this normal?
  3. There are red and yellow action messages. Do I need to change my personal debit card to a different one now, or can I change it later?

One last question: Is it important to use a virtual address instead of my personal address? If so, where can I get a cheap one? I’m planning to set up an LTD.

I’d really appreciate any assistance. Thanks!

No, you will pay for just one store, not all of them.

Yes, this is normal.

You can attach a Payoneer, Wise, or Hyperwallet account as a deposit method.
Yes, you can use your residential address if you don’t have a registered LTD yet. Once your LTD is ready, you can update the account with your LTD details.

Thanks so much for the info! By the way, they’ve already taken the payment. I have a Tide account and tried to change it, but it won’t accept it. So, I’m thinking of switching to an Ltd.

When setting up your Seller Central account, the list of “active” countries typically means you can sell in those marketplaces, but you won’t be charged fees unless you list products there—if you only want to sell in the UK, ensure your listings are limited to that marketplace. The €15,000 limit is likely a verification threshold; Amazon may require additional documents once you reach that amount in sales. Red and yellow action messages usually indicate required steps for account verification, so review and complete them as needed. You can update your debit card later, but it’s best to ensure it meets Amazon’s requirements now. As for your address, using a virtual address can help protect your privacy, and many sellers opt for one when transitioning to an LTD. Services like UK Postbox or 1st Formations offer affordable virtual addresses.

They took the payment from your charge method. Now you have to attach deposit method their you can receive money from Amazon.
