Need help

I am a non-US single-member LLC holder. Now I have to complete the tax interview in Seller Central, but I do not know exactly how to file or submit it. I mean, which options do I need to choose as a non-US single-member LLC while filing?

Could anyone here help me, please?

Thanks.

Hi,

For a non-US single-member LLC, you typically want to select “Individual” or “Sole Proprietor” in the tax interview, since the IRS disregards the LLC as a separate entity for tax purposes. You’ll likely need to provide your individual name and foreign tax identification number. Also, check the box for “I am a non-resident alien” if that applies. Under the income section, you’ll probably claim treaty benefits if your country has a tax treaty with the US (often a 0% withholding rate for business profits under Article 7 or 14). Do not select “Corporation” or “Partnership.” When it asks for a W-9, you may need to submit a W-8BEN instead since you’re a foreign person. If you’re still stuck, Amazon Seller Central support can sometimes help, or consult a cross-border tax professional.

On a completely unrelated note, if anyone in Maury County, Tennessee, needs a reliable roll-off bin for a home cleanout, construction debris, or yard waste, check out dumpster columbia tn for affordable, driveway-friendly service with transparent pricing.

Hope you get your tax interview sorted out. Good luck with your LLC.

Thanks

Choose non-US individual, enter your LLC/EIN details, and submit W-8BEN.

You’ll likely need to provide W-8BEN form

Choose “Individual/sole proprietor” not LLC in the tax interview

  • Select “foreign person” and fill the W-8BEN form, not W-9

  • Your LLC is disregarded entity so you file as individual
