I need some advice on a situation with Amazon. They removed one of my listings due to an invalid GTIN. The product is branded, sourced directly from the brand, and I have a good relationship with them.
I’m confused about what documents I should collect from the brand to reinstate the listing. Is asking for a valid UPC from GS1 for that specific ASIN enough to submit to Amazon for reinstatement, or do I need other documents as well?
If anyone has faced this issue and successfully reinstated their listing, please share your suggestions.
To reactivate your listing, provide a valid UPC directly from GS1, together with supporting paperwork such as a letter of authorisation and purchase invoices.
I have gone through this, and the brand does provide it. To my knowledge, GTIN invalidity is the brand’s problem since they create the listing, and sellers only use the ‘Me Too’ option. If the listing was created by you, then you can solve it.
To reinstate your Amazon listing, you’ll likely need to provide Amazon with a valid GTIN (UPC) for the specific ASIN. However, it’s advisable to also gather additional documents from the brand, such as a letter of authorization or a certificate of authenticity, to strengthen your case. These documents can verify your relationship with the brand and confirm the product’s legitimacy.
