Need advice on best way to bulk print packing slips and postage labels

I’ll start with detailing how we currently do this.

For labels:
Buy shipping in bulk on seller central producing 6x4" labels in multiple pdfs. Merge pdfs into one and print, 4 labels per sheet onto a4 label sheet using laser printer.

For packing slips:
Go to shipped orders. Select multiple orders we’ve just bought shipping for, and click print packing slip, producing one pdf with each slip on a4. Print this on pain paper on same laser printer.

Then pair each label and packing slip with respective product and place in jiffy envelope.

A bit time consuming but it works. However my laser is showing its age and print is often faded (not great for postage labels). Also we have to manually feed each label sheet which results sometimes in them not being perfectly straight partially running off side of labels, again not ideal.

What would you suggest? Continue printing packing slips as we are, and buy a 6x4 label printer for the addresses?

Or buy a new a4 laser print, and print integrated labels with both packing slip and address all on one sheet? (I like the idea of this as it means no more pairing of slips with labels.) As far as I am aware though we’d have to work out a way to merge the packing slips with the addresses onto a4 sheets for this though. I looked at Click and Drop options for integrated labels but it seems to only produce an address label and despatch note (rather than the packing slip).

This is exactly what I am doing. All depends of how much are you printing and whether it’s worth the investment.

Between 20 and 40 order per day so not huge. But we’ll need to invest in a new printer whichever way we go so really just any exta cost of the labels and the time working out the merging bit. (How do you do that part Kika?)
