Looking for some advice

Hi all,

We have recently closed a brand deal that allows us to sell their product on Amazon.
We have brand administration rights through Seller Central.
There are existing listings on Amazon created by older resellers; these listings are under the current brand, but we seem unable to optimize or edit them.
Does anyone have any advice? We really don’t want to create new UPCs or EANs and create a new listing.
Thanks.

If brand has Brand Registry on Amazon, it means it has seller central. You should ask them to authorize you.

You need to contact Brand Registry support and request control to edit existing listings. Also, submit a flat file update or open a case in Seller Central asking Amazon to let your brand contributions override old seller data. No need to create new listings.

The brand doesn’t have a Seller central, but has Amazon brand registry and has given us access through that.

If you have brand administration rights through Brand Registry, but cannot edit existing listings, it’s likely those ASINs are locked due to prior contributions or Amazon catalog control. First, ensure the brand name in Brand Registry exactly matches the one on the listings. Then, open a case under the “Listing Issue” section, providing your brand registry role confirmation, LOA if needed, and screenshots of the incorrect or uneditable content. Request a contribution override or listing attribute update. If that fails, escalate via Brand Registry support directly. Avoid creating new ASINs unless the existing ones are deeply compromised or incorrect.

The brand needs to add you guys as authorised Reseller of their brand, giving access through your merchant ID from their seller Central, only then you’ll be able to edit or optimize the listing. Let me know if you need any help with or clarification.

If other authorized merchants of this brand have abandoned or no longer operate the link, and you want to take over AISN, that is fine. If the other party is still using it, then don’t do this.
