Looking for colour laserjet printer recommendations

Hey guys,

a bit of a random one but I’m looking for a colour laserjet printer for the office.

What do you use?

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Don’t just look at the price of the printer but also the running costs, ie toner and drum. Toner can be so expensive if you buy originals. For most applications, this is unnecessary.

Look for a brand that has cheap compatibles and no restrictions. Avoid HP as they have so many restrictions regarding chips.

I’ve used HP for many years but changes to Brother a few years back and have never looked back. My current printer is a MFC-L8690CDW but there are newer models. Cheap compatible cartridges are easily available.

If you need the very best print quality, you may have to think differently but for day to day printouts, what I said should be ok.

Thank you for the recommendation, good to know. Yes, we previously used an HP ink printer, and the cartridge prices went up significantly. Whenever we tried using compatible ones, we kept getting alerts.

For personal or office use, I personally use a Brother printer because they’re reliable and there are plenty of compatible toners available online at a decent price. I’d strongly recommend this brand, as it’s not as complex or technical as HP or Canon, which often require more technical skills to troubleshoot. Of course, it also depends on how complex your work requirements are.

For a reliable color laserjet printer, many sellers and small businesses recommend models like the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M479fdw for all-in-one functionality, wireless printing, and strong performance, or the Brother HL-L8360CDW if you’re looking for fast, high-quality prints with lower running costs. Both are great for office use and support duplex printing, decent paper capacity, and network connectivity. If you need scanning or fax features too, go for an MFP (multi-function printer) version. Also, make sure to factor in toner replacement costs when choosing.

Thank you all for your recommendations. We previously had an HP but wanted to try something different, as the cartridges were limited to original HP WiFi kept dropping. We’ve gone for the Brother – fingers crossed it does the job! It’s arriving tomorrow

You won’t regret it.

I buy my compatible carts from Infotone. Excellent quality and cheap.
