I’m in the process of setting up an Amazon FBA business selling in the UK, and I’m looking for recommendations for the best business bank account to use.
Any advice or recommendations would be really helpful! What accounts are you using, and what has your experience been like?
When choosing a business bank account, it’s important to consider factors like low fees, smooth integration with Amazon’s payment system, and multi-currency support if you plan to sell internationally. Some great options include Starling Bank, which offers no monthly fees and a user-friendly app with real-time transaction notifications, and Revolut Business, ideal for handling multiple currencies with transparent exchange rates and low transfer fees. Another solid choice is Tide, known for its easy onboarding and no monthly fees on basic accounts. I personally use Starling for its simplicity and fee-free setup, and it integrates seamlessly with Amazon payouts. If international transactions are a priority, Revolut’s currency flexibility makes it a strong contender.
What I would first consider is what business model you want to use. Either selling products or your own brand (private label) or reselling products of someone else’s (arbitrage/wholesale)
That will help determine your next steps in starting
I personally find selling products of my own private label brand is the best way to go.
I would say begin by looking for something that is
Not so simple that everyone thinks of it eg water bottles, yoga mats and phone cases are a no.
Not so complex that it’s likely to be returned eg digital cameras, camera door bells, speakers etc
Finally something that retails for between £15 and £30 as anything less than £15 will be hard to make significant profit without huge volume and anything above £30 will be hard to get a fast sale.
Look for something that solves a common but simple problem by combining a few simple functions into a single product
