Looking for advice on shipping LTL to Amazon

I usually do small parcel delivery (SPD) and drip feed stock to Amazon, but I’m looking at Less than Truckload (LTL).

Is there anything I need to be aware of? Do deliveries take roughly the same time to arrive at Amazon and be checked in?

It looks like I do the usual bits on seller central > send or replenish inventory, then provide pallet number, dimensions and weights. Then do I need to schedule the collection with the shipping partner in the same way I schedule the collection in with UPS when doing SPD?

Thanks

Switching to LTL has a few differences compared to SPD. First, while the process in Seller Central is similar—where you send or replenish inventory and provide pallet details like dimensions and weights—LTL shipments typically take longer to be checked in at Amazon’s fulfillment centers. Unlike SPD, which often arrives faster due to individual packages, LTL shipments can take a few extra days for processing as Amazon prioritizes them differently. You’ll also need to schedule the pickup with a partnered carrier in the “Carrier Appointment Request Portal,” which is slightly different from simply scheduling with UPS. Make sure your pallets meet Amazon’s guidelines (proper labeling, stacking requirements) to avoid delays.
