Any fellow seller here who are selling beauty and personal care category?
I have a product a device in beauty and personal care and thousands are other sellers are selling on Amazon.
I made two listing as i m selling two variation.
One listing got deactivated and i got restricted product policy violation and te other listing are running well till yet.
Amazon bot sent a violation by saying w identify your listing as medical device and asked for 510k certificate… but our product doesn’t required this as i discussed with supplier and did a lot of research.
I thought this listing may be deducted by restricted keywords used in listing that’s why it got deactivate… and i tried to creat a new listing with no restricted keywords…with no optimization you can say a simple listing and content.
And today again i got a violation for this listing as well.
Now i getting panic that what’s going on …even though i never used any keywords or picture which are restricted.
And my listing getting inactive by amazon bots automatically.
Plz anyone who have face same situation and solved this issue.
Many thanks
I’d say stop trying because you’ll get more bots as you’re flagged atm. Contact seller support directly asap, they sort of want you to do this already, to make sure that you appeal with documentation
thank you for joining the forum! I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with a Restricted Product Policy Violation.
These are very common for beauty products identified as medical devices and every week we have a seller here with a similar issue. Definitely don’t create duplicate listings seeking to circumvent the policy.
Amazon is well aware of sellers doing this to get around restrictions and if you repeat this for the third time, your account may get deactivated, just like it happened to many others.
A face sculptor is definitely commonly viewed as a medical device. If you are seeing listings, which are still active, they will likely get restricted soon as well.
It is unheard of for sellers to be able to appeal their products being detected as a medical device.
My best suggestion for you is that you either obtain the requested documents or remove any similar products from your inventory to avoid your account from getting deactivated.
I hope this helps. Please feel free to post here whenever you need help.
So you mean to stop selling this product?
I think making changes in listing and remove all restricted kws from existing active listing will resolve the issue… rather to stop selling and delete listing
Amending a listing to remove any references / keywords may work in cases of Suspected Intellectual Property Rights Infringement Complaints, however this will not resolve restricted products issues.
With restricted products, you can either provide the requested documents or stop selling the products (and any similar products).
