Listing erroneously created as generic

I made the mistake of registering under a generic, and now I cannot make any changes. I have already contacted Amazon twice. Is there anything

What else can I do?

Once an ASIN is locked under “Generic,” Amazon rarely changes it. Your best options: open a Brand Registry case with trademark proof, submit a flat-file update for brand correction, attach manufacturer documentation, and escalate through Seller Support with a “brand attribute update” request.

Unfortunately once an ASIN is created as generic, Amazon treats that as a core identity attribute and you can’t just edit it yourself later, so normal Seller Support cases usually go nowhere.

The only real ways out are either to open a case specifically requesting a brand correction with strong evidence that the product is branded, such as packaging photos clearly showing the brand, a trademark or brand registry proof if you have it, and invoices matching the brand name, or to create a brand new ASIN under the correct brand and stop using the generic one entirely.

If Seller Support keeps giving template replies, ask them to escalate to the Catalog or Brand Registry team and be very clear that this is an ASIN creation error, not a content edit.

Many sellers find it faster and less painful to relaunch on a new ASIN if reviews are minimal, because getting Amazon to convert a generic ASIN to branded is possible but slow and inconsistent.
