I have just recently started selling on Ebay just to test and see if I like it. I only started with 1 item and relatively low quantity. Reached my selling limit and managed to increase it, so added 9 more items. Now the thing is, those 9 items were purchased by a single buyer in 1 go.
His account was created in 2017 and has 1 feedback. The sum of purchase is in triple digits, so relatively high. Now my question is, can this be a scam?
What would be the best way to go about it to avoid getting scammed as a seller in this case?
Besides canceling the order, using a tracked and signed delivery is the best you can do. However, this situation seems a bit suspicious. It might be helpful to call eBay support for assistance—they could provide some useful advice.
Can you please tell me the best way of dealing with account suspension. As I am selling my own stock.
Sold almost 150 items. Provided authentic trackings dispatched in time. All positive feedbacks. Nothing in cases. But suspended without any reason.
We called eBay and they reinstated it but very next day they suspended it again and now there is no option for any call or love chat. I have one more accounts but this time i don’t want to lose it. So is there any tip from your side to secure my account.
@masud530 Loving support so far, had 2 problems (not related to the sales I made), they managed to solve them within minutes.
So an update, spoke to a yet again amazing ebay customer service and they reassured me that I can ship with no worries as they have seller protection on if the shipment is tracked. Additionally, they advised me to weight the parcel in before shipping at the post office and collect a receipt as a proof to be fully covered.
I heard stories long ago about how people claim they get books instead of expensive items and sellers get charged for it, so trying to be cautious, since I have just started and don’t want to lose money or opportunity to sell further.
My advice is to take pictures of the items before sent to the customer, show the item condition. Take the picture of the weight of the parcel before sent to the customer and make sure you have an invoice/receipt for the items you’re selling. That should pretty much cover in case of a scam but finger cross this is not the case. Good luck!
