I submitted my first items to Amazon and they were listed a few days ago. One of my friends ordered through there to help support me and we have had a few additional sales as well. She received the package with all these bubbles included. I thought shipping like this was extra. I wondering if I have that option turned on somewhere and don’t know how to turn it off. Can anyone tell me how this works? I’m finding the site less than user friendly and I’m really struggling to figure some of this out!
The bubbles in the package are usually included for protection during shipping. It’s not an extra option that you can turn on or off. If you prefer a different packaging method, you can consider using alternative packaging materials.
Don’t have your friends buy stuff to support you. It will get your Amazon account suspended. It’s going to throw off your whole metrics and this is code review manipulation or rank manipulation. They will suspend you for this kind of stuff.
Yes. Sometimes Amazon includes air pillows in their packaging. But, most times they don’t bother.

I couldn’t agree with @PC_Parts more. Amazon has been doing this for a very long time, and they have sophisticated tools to catch you. They could suspend you for life.
You also have a HUGE problem with your little note to the buyers. You need to remember that these are Amazon’s customers, not yours. Any attempt to draw them off the Amazon platform is a violation. You need to remove them.
I thought I read somewhere that they charged extra if they used this kind of packaging so I just wanted to make sure. I’ll take another look at my settings now that I know where to look!
I’ve heard people say yo tell clients your Amazon and provide them links to your products to help promote yourself. So we shouldn’t be advertising they can now buy on Amazon?
My website will relaunch in a week so I’ll send people there instead. You would think Amazon would want the sales.
You can direct them to your Amazon store. That’s not a problem.

The problem is with your thank you card. You cannot include it with any sale made on the Amazon platform, FBA and/or FBM. Period.
That is a serious violation of Amazon’s policy that you agreed to abide by when you signed up to sell on the Amazon platform.
SELLING POLICIES AND SELLER CODE OF CONDUCT
Circumventing the sales process
You may not attempt to circumvent the Amazon sales process or divert Amazon customers to another website. This means that you may not provide links or messages that prompt users to visit any external website or complete a transaction elsewhere.
Very clear. Thank you for your time
You can always promote it other ways. Your goal is to influence the organic traffic to Amazon, post things like “Your favorite products are now found on Amazon.”, “Listen up customers, you can now find us and all of our amazing products on Amazon, head over and make your first Prime purchase.”- of course not like that but you get where I am going. This will have the customer go to Amazon and type in your product to buy instead of following a link you are providing.
You’re welcome.
I wish you the best…
