I had three items go missing, and after they were found, Amazon marked them as defective even though they were initially received in “SELLABLE” condition.
They’re refusing to reimburse or perform a bin check, but it seems like the items might have been lost or damaged while in their possession.
Amazon typically won’t perform a bin check for items they have marked as defective or unsellable.
I suggest creating a removal order for these defective units so you can inspect them yourself It’s not uncommon for sellable units to be incorrectly categorized as defective or unfulfillable.
They initially lost them, found them but they’re now in “DEFECTIVE” state.
Showed them the inventory report and they acknowledged they were received as “SELLABLE” but are now “DEFECTIVE” but still refuse to reimburse.
Yeah I think I’ll have to have a look when they’re removed back to me. Amazon seem to apply their rules however it seems fit to them, if they’re damaged it’s solely due to them.
I had ASINs that were defective—expired—and I requested a bin check, which was completed. If you feel like you’re talking to a wall, create a removal order and inspect the products yourself. If they are in perfect condition, open a case and request reimbursement.
Does that work? I have removal orders pending for over 6 months, and they won’t reimburse me. They just keep telling me to wait up to 90 days. No matter how many times I tell them 180 days is greater than 90 days, they don’t hear me.
We claim for removal orders not received. We have had quite a few reimbursed, but we usually show the tracking, which often proves it wasn’t delivered, so that may be a different context.
