Is SPP registration necessary for VAs who are not developers?

If you are not a developer, not connecting via API, and not a third-party tool provider, you and your VAs do not need SPP registration. Is it true?

A week ago, they were requesting verification through SPP from my VA.

Yes, that’s generally true, Selling Partner Platform registration is primarily for developers or third-party tool providers who are building or integrating applications using Amazon’s Selling Partner API. If you or your virtual assistants are not creating apps, not accessing Amazon data through APIs, and are simply using Seller Central manually, then SPP registration is not required. Most regular sellers and their VAs who only perform tasks within the standard Seller Central interface do not need to worry about this.
