I would like to start selling on Amazon and while I search to learn on how to start, the considerable amount of information is sometimes confusing. I see many different providers offering their services to provide online courses and one on one guidance. I wanted to get your opinion on if it is worth joining on of those programs and if you had any recommendations on which one is best. They are for most, thousands of dollars so do you think it is a good investment?
You can find all about selling on Amazon within the Amazon platform. It’s not a good idea to pay thousands of dollars to get advice from some “self-proclaimed guru.”
SELLER UNIVERSITY
Important first steps to start selling
Your selling on Amazon account setup begins here. Assisted by a series of instructional courses, you’ll gain insights into selling on Amazon, our tools and policies for sellers, and the products and services that can help you grow your business.
When you have questions, come back here. We’re more than willing to help you be successful, and avoid any pitfalls.
Rather then paying huge amount for any course. Its recommended to first start learning from basics on YouTube. Afterward if you think that you need further assistance, instead of going for complete course, go for mentorship while you work on your account.
I think it would be more economical and you will get better learning this way.
Also this forum is available to answer, if you get stuck anywhere.
Watching videos on YouTube is just the tip of the iceberg. It is not comprehensive for one to know the ins and outs of Amazon and how to be able to know more about becoming an Amazon seller. There are mentorship classes being offered, and that’s where you’ll learn the tips and tricks. However, it’s quite pricey.
I had 2 meetings with 2 different ones, 1 wanted 4000$ and the 2nd one 6 payments of 800$! Honestly people learn by themselves and there are lots of videos out there! I personally won’t pay specially when we have these forums to ask for help, also I see here lots of scammers too
You do not need to pay for a mentorship or courses. All the relevant info can be found online for free. There a plenty of blogs and tutorials on Youtube. I can also recommend the free product research tool code2asin. Keepa is also free and has a relativly inexpensive pro version. Some people also like Helium10 which is more expensive. Good luck.
Keepa is one of them! Some of these “Gurus” give you documents with steps…! I bought a full training from one of them for 30$ and it’s pretty good! Lots of info!
Thanks, it’s been 2 months that I’ve started to watch videos to learn on my own but the amount of information is confusing and difficult to organize. Even when I try to, I am not confident enough to take the big steps.
$4000 for what? Honestly if someone wants to learn then it would hardly take 2 to 3 Months to learn basics. Asking for such a huge amount I don’t think its worth it.
Most likely the guru is making more money selling courses than trading on Amazon.
