Is it true that withdrawing IP violations will damage your Brand Registry account?

Hi all.

Another seller filed an IP violation against us for a brand we are allowed to sell.

We tried to get the violation removed with a letter of authorization and invoices, but Amazon is being very unhelpful and won’t remove it.

Per the brand owner, that other seller says they won’t retract the complaints since it “affects their account health if they retract complaints”.

Is that true, or are they making that up?

Thank you

Hello @Jacob12,

thank you for posting into our forum. No, withdrawing Intellectual Property Rights Infringement Complaints as a rights owner through Amazon Brand Registry will not damage your Brand Registry account.

You can submit and withdraw as many complaints as you wish.

Upholding unjustified Intellectual Property Rights Infringement Complaints can damage your Brand Registry account.
