I feel like Amazon have really tightened it up at the moment. Got lots of aftershave and perfumes ready to send in, with all the correct invoices ect and Amazon keep declining them.
Can you provide any insight into why this might be happening or suggest steps I should take to resolve this issue?
Yes its become extremely difficult to ungate - they’ve even rejected brand direct invoices.
Flip them on eBay in the meantime? No fees. I had a women’s perfume called back for some ridiculous reason by Amazon and sold it pretty quickly on eBay, to be honest.

New accounts or accounts with low revenue are facing more and more issues, but this doesn’t mean you won’t be able to get ungated later. This has been happening for quite some time, so don’t worry. Keep selling other brands and try again to ungate these brands later.
Sell a bit cheaper but with higher margins and no crazy fees. In the new year, I’m going to try focusing more on eBay, there are prep centers that prep and send for £1.
Does it matter if I keep applying when I get declined? Would that go against me, or am I better off waiting a couple of weeks and hoping things cool off?
Yeah, definitely a great idea. It’s always good to add another stream of income by using a different platform alongside Amazon.
I always wait 1 week before applying again.
