Is Amazon collecting tax in the US?

Hello guys,

when you sell on Amazon USA from UK, it seems that Amazon is already collecting sales tax and on the statement report it says they withheld tax.

So that means they are collecting sales tax and paying on my behalf as a UK seller right ?

Please can anyone explain me how does it work for UK seller selling FBA & FBM (RA)?

That’s correct, they add in and collect the tax at the point of checkout. It’s the same in all shops in America.

Exactly. Basically you don’t need to do anything. Selling in the US is so much easier than selling into Europe

True indeed. Europe is a mess after Brexit. And also compliances are so complex
