Intellectual Propety and Storage Fee

Amazon Problem Report

On 06/12/ 2024, my product was blocked due to alleged trademark infringement. Despite submitting required documents, I received excessive storage fee charges (approximately 7 times the product value)

Resolution Attempts

  1. Submitted additional documents for product unblocking.
  2. Requested storage fee refund.
  3. Contacted Amazon support.
  4. Sent formal documentation with my attorney.

Amazon Responses

Amazon repeatedly stated:

  1. Cannot assist without product unblocking.
  2. Cannot verify outstanding balance without payment.
  3. Cannot provide assistance without prepayment.

Requests

  1. Product unblocking.
  2. Storage fee refund.
  3. Product disposal (if necessary).
  4. Review of storage and charging policies.

As a compliant Amazon seller since inception, I feel unfairly treated. Automated responses and lack of human assistance are frustrating.

Hello @CarolG,

welcome and thank you for joining. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with an Intellectual Property Rights Infringement Complaint.

These are tricky and can take long to get resolved, usually through legal means. When you have any inventory in FBA, this means that you will need to have it removed within 30 days and the Intellectual Property Rights Infringement Complaint won’t be resolved by then.

What is the charge you are referring to? It must be aged inventory surcharge or a different fee. Because Amazon doesn’t charge any fees for inventory subject to Intellectual Property Rights Infringement Complaints.

It’s not old, this product was only a month old and the others were also sent within a month.

Could you provide a screenshot of the charge? I think it’s unlikely it would be a storage charge for the new product.
