We’re brand registered on Brand Registry, with IPO registered trademarks.
We have a number of listing hijackers who are selling their own inferior products on our branded listings and we want to remove them through Brand Registry, however, we’ve never done this before and we were wanting some advice/tips etc on the best practice to remove them via Brand Registry.
What should we do? What should we avoid doing?
Test purchases have been made. They do not have permission from us to use our Brand name/I.P., and their products are different to ours and not the product our listings were created for.
To address hijackers on your branded listings through Amazon Brand Registry, start by filing a complaint using the “Report a Violation” tool in your Brand Registry account. Provide evidence, such as the test purchase details (e.g., invoices, photos comparing the hijacker’s product to your original), to show the infringement of your IP or trademark rights. Clearly highlight how their product differs from yours and violates your intellectual property. Avoid contacting the hijackers directly, as this can complicate matters, and ensure your listings are fully optimized with clear branding to deter future hijackers.
thank you for joining the forum and welcome! I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with hijackers on your brand registered listings.
Please note that you don’t need to make any test purchases. Simply report the products as unauthorized / counterfeit and write into the notes that you never supplied any wholesale resellers and that you never authorized any parallel manufacture in China. Explain that this is a manufacturer based in China, who is selling and manufacturing your products without authorization. Don’t mention any test orders.
For me, it always works. And I would definitely never order from other sellers.
Thank you for your reply, is there anything else during this process which we should AVOID doing which could create problems for ourselves , in your opinion ?
‘‘We have never supplied or authorised any wholesale resellers for this product, and have never authorized any parallel manufacture .
This manufacturer or reseller is selling and/or manufacturing this product without our authorization.’’
