Infringement complaint

Hey everyone,

I received two IP complaints two days ago and another one today for three different listings. These complaints were for counterfeit goods, but no test purchase was made. The complaints came from a claimed law firm, but they are not the rightful owners of the brand. I’m sourcing my stock directly from the brand and have already contacted them to check if they mistakenly filed the complaint. I provided them with the name, email, and a screenshot of the Policy Warning notification I received from Amazon, but the brand has confirmed they don’t know the person who filed the complaints.

This situation has seriously impacted my account health, and I’m confused about how Amazon sets parameters for verifying whether the person sending the IP complaint is actually the rightful owner. Despite buying directly from the brand and submitting the invoices, Amazon rejected them and is now asking for a Letter of Authorization (LOA) from the brand.

My question is: How does Amazon’s team operate on the backend when they receive an IP complaint? The impact on my Account Health is significant.

Honestly, nobody really knows the exact parameters Amazon uses. It’s frustrating, but even your competitors could potentially do the same thing. Amazon can be unpredictable, that’s all I can say.

To resolve your situation, just provide Amazon with the information and documentation they’ve requested. Once you do that, you should be fine.

But this is something serious. You can’t just file IP complaints against competitors, and Amazon doesn’t bother checking, which then affects your account health. I have been selling these products for the past three years, with excellent VOC so far.

Again, Amazon is unpredictable, that I am sure.
