Important information about your Amazon.com listings

Did anyone else get the hard restriction this morning for Maybelline, CHANEL, L’OREAL, DIOR, ESTEE LAUDER, and YVES SAINT LAURENT? The sell-out date is September 5th in the US.

Important information about your Amazon.com listings

Hello,

As part of our ongoing efforts to provide the best possible customer experience, we have implemented additional restrictions for Maybelline products.

Effective 2024-08-29, you will not be able to list the affected products, and your listings will be removed. This action does not impact your account health.

How can I reinstate my listings?

You are not approved to list Maybelline products and we are currently not accepting applications.

Were your listings removed as a result of an error?

If you believe your products have been misclassified within a certain category or sub-category that requires approval, please contact Selling Partner Support with evidence, such as product pictures, to support this claim. Amazon will review your claim and make a final determination that will ensure the best shopping experience for our customers.

What happens if I do not take action?

If no action is taken, the affected listings will not be available for sale in the Amazon store.

Can I sell my remaining FBA inventory?

If you have remaining inventory of the affected products in Amazon fulfillment centers, you may continue selling your remaining inventory until 2024-08-29. After this date, you will need to create a removal order. For help in creating a removal order, see the following: 亚马逊.

The time they gave - or let’s say they didn’t give - to get rid of the stock is pathetic. 24 hours? Initially, it was 24 hours for Maybelline, but now they’ve changed it to the 4th of September. The UK market is so much better right now. We are still selling Clinique, Nike, and other brands that are gated in the US.

I also noticed that all my Maybelline products went stranded yesterday but are now active again today. They’ve given us some more time for Maybelline until the 4th of September. It’s sad to hear that, and I hope you can recover as much money as possible from your stock.

If you have any inventory left of good-selling products, let me know, I might be able to sell them on Walmart. They’re so massive that I think they’ll soon take over all the big-brand sales.

I’m US based and my L’Oréal and Maybeliine are still good.

L’Oréal owns Maybelline so no surprise there. It also owns Garnier, NYX, YSL and Lancôme so more to come I guess. So bad they gave us no notice.

As they have done this with Davidoff brand in UK too, what you are doing with these kind of stuck inventories?

I am going through this many brand as gated I have recall them back to my warehouse now figuring out what to do with them.

Yes, they now gated Wahl Professional as well.

Amazon is definitely a roller coaster - when it’s good, it’s decent, but when it’s bad, it can feel like a life-altering nightmare.

Currently dumping all NYX products, as it’s owned by L’Oréal and likely to follow suit.
