We’re excited to build on the success of FBA New Selection by offering expanded benefits in 2024. These benefits are designed to help you launch new products on Amazon.
Rebate on sales
Effective March 1, 2024, we’ll continue to provide an average 5% rebate on sales of eligible new-to-FBA parent products, including new rebates for eligible non-branded selection. Previously, you needed to be a brand-registered seller to qualify for the rebate.
The rebate will be applied as a credit to the fulfillment fees on the following month that it’s earned.
The rebate is available on up to 50 units for eligible oversize and supersize items, and up to 100 units for eligible small and standard-size items for 120 days.
Important: Please also note that starting from July 31, 2024, rebates that have been unused for a year will start expiring.
Benefits for more units and for extended days
We will make the following changes for all eligible oversize and supersize products, effective March 1:
- The storage, removal, and rebate benefits apply to up to 50 units per parent ASIN. We previously provided these benefits on up to 30 units per parent ASIN.
- The storage and rebate benefits apply for up to 120 days per parent ASIN. We previously provided these benefits for up to 90 days per parent ASIN.
Reduced IPI score for eligibility
Effective March 1, 2024, we will reduce the Inventory Performance Index (IPI) score needed for program eligibility to 300 or higher. Previously, you needed a score of 400 or higher to qualify for the program. If you have yet to be assigned an IPI score, you can enroll in the program and receive the program’s benefits.
Important: Please also note that starting from September 1, 2024, the annual IPI assessment formerly on April 1 will be updated to a bi-annual assessment on September 1 and March 1. If your IPI score is below 300 on the assessment date, you will be removed from the program. You’ll become eligible once your IPI score is 300 or higher, even if this happens before or after the assessment date. Once you become eligible, you’ll remain eligible until the next assessment date.
Important: The Program Terms and Conditions will be updated to clarify the program terms, including addition of a clause that Amazon withholds the right to suspend or terminate your participation in the Program immediately and without notice in case of violation of terms or fraud is found.
