I'm looking for some help setting up correct VAT codes for ASIN's

Hi guys,

these are ASINs I have in stock currently as well as those that I have sold in the past.

The default VAT code for my UK Store is currently set at 20% and I am VAT registered but I know I have sold grocery and baby products that may have 0% VAT on them.

All help & guidance appreciated!

Use the “Product Tax Code” drop-down list in the “Offer” page of the listing or use a feed.

To set the correct VAT code for your ASIN, you must define the correct VAT type for each product category. For example, purchases of food and pet products may be subject to different tax rates or exemptions. Contact HM Revenue and Customs for specific advice. Once the rates are confirmed, the system can update the VAT code.

Are you trying to figure out which items are standard or exempted? Or what exactly do you need help with?

That’s it! Trying to figure out which items have what VAT for items in stock and the items I have sold in the past also.

When I used to sell in the UK, I checked the VAT category of the product by looking it up on Bestway Wholesale. I searched for the exact same product to verify its VAT category. If I couldn’t find the exact product, I looked for something similar.

I hope this helps.
