I need some advice on VAT concerns in the UK

Hello everyone,

we’ve been selling on Amazon.co.uk for several months but aren’t VAT registered yet as we haven’t hit the £85,000 threshold.

Can we reclaim the 20% VAT we’ve paid to suppliers from HMRC?

We have all the invoices but are unfamiliar with UK VAT rules.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you are not registered, you can’t reclaim vat. Sorry.

You can reclaim 1. Vat on services upto 6 months prior 2. Vat on inventory held at the point of vat registration
