Have looked at Seller University on Seller Central?
Congratulations on setting up your FBA account.
If you don’t mind I can recommend you with my pundit and help you out.
So do you have a product which you want to sell?
Congrats on setting up your FBA account! That’s a big step. I remember when I first got into e-commerce, it felt like there was so much to learn. What part is overwhelming you the most right now? Product research, finding suppliers, or something else?
Starting your Amazon FBA journey can definitely feel overwhelming, but you’re on the right track by seeking guidance early! When I first started, I felt the same way, and having a mentor made a huge difference in helping me avoid costly mistakes and fast-track my success.
Feeling overwhelmed at the start is completely normal, but breaking things down into steps will help. First, complete your account verification and tax information in Seller Central. Then, decide on your sourcing method—whether retail arbitrage, online arbitrage, wholesale, or private label. Learn the basics of product research using tools like Keepa and SellerAmp to analyze profitability, competition, and demand. Amazon’s free Seller University provides step-by-step videos, and YouTube channels like Fields of Profit, Seth Kniep, and Beau Crabill offer solid guidance for beginners. If you prefer a structured course, Freedom Ticket by Helium 10 is great for private label, while OA Challenge by Chris Grant is useful for arbitrage sellers. Facebook groups and Discord communities like FBA Roadmap or My Amazon Guy can also be helpful for real-time advice. The key is to start small, send in your first shipment, and learn through experience.
Just to throw this out as a counter point, if you want to start slowly instead of jumping straight into private label, you might find ‘online arbitrage’ as a good starting point.
This is where you find a product (that’s sold already on Amazon) and buy it cheaper elsewhere. You then list it on Amazon and once someone purchases it, you ship it out (either yourself - FBM - or through FBA).
It’s not going to make you a lot of money (unless you find some great deals) but it’s definitely a slower, less risky way to learn the basics while you take the time to get into private label. The last thing you should do is rush anything right now.
Otherwise, if you do want to continue down the private label path, your best resource will be Amazon University. Search that up and really take the time to understand everything.
