I recently submitted a Brand Registry application for my brand, using my Indian trademark application from the Indian Trademark Registry (TMR).
However, Amazon rejected the application because the trademark status is currently showing “Ready for Examination.” Amazon says this status is not an acceptable status for Brand Registry in India and that the trademark needs to be either pending or active/registered.
What is confusing me is that I previously registered another brand with Amazon Brand Registry using an Indian trademark that was also showing “Ready for Examination”, and that application was successfully approved.
So I’m confused about what has changed or what mistake I may be making this time.
Has anyone recently registered an Indian brand on Amazon Brand Registry while the trademark status was “Ready for Examination”?
