I’ve secured an exclusive deal with a brand, and they’ll be manufacturing the product for me with slight custom branding. There’s already an Amazon UK listing for this product with around 3,000 reviews, but it’s listed under an unregistered brand name — which is actually the brand’s official name. The brand itself has no access to the listing, and it looks like it was created a long time ago.
The brand has confirmed they have no issue with me taking control of the listing and changing the brand name to my own registered brand. Since the listing already has a strong review history, creating a new one isn’t a good option. Also, removing other sellers won’t be a problem as they won’t be able to restock. My main goal is to bring the listing fully under my brand so I can manage and grow it properly.
Has anyone dealt with a similar situation on Amazon UK, or can advise how to gain control of such a listing and change the brand name?
