I currently sell on Amazon and would like to start selling on Walmart

I’m now thinking about how to properly separate the two financial streams, order processing, etc.

For those managing two different businesses, how do you handle it?

Do you use one bank account for both, or keep them completely separate?

It’s generally best to keep the financials and operations for Amazon and Walmart as separate as possible, especially if you want clean books, clearer profitability analysis, or plan to scale or sell one of the businesses later. Most sellers who operate on both platforms either create separate entities or at least use separate bank accounts, credit cards, and bookkeeping software tags to distinguish income, expenses, and inventory flow. For order processing and inventory management, some use tools like Sellbrite or Zentail to centralize operations while keeping the channels distinct. It takes a bit more setup, but separating things upfront saves a lot of headaches during tax season or business transitions.

It’s better to use separate banks, but it’s not a major issue. Just make sure to avoid using the same card for both your Amazon and Walmart accounts, because, you know, it’s Amazon.

You can use the same bank account for both platforms, but for your own ease, you can link different banks to keep things clear and organized.
