My current legal business name in the “Legal Entity” section of Account Info shows as my personal name. I need to change this to the name of my business that is registered with the state of Florida. When I take the Tax Interview, and try make this change, I enter the information on the “Sign and Submit” section at the bottom and Amazon rejects it and asks for the correct signature. I have tried several different variations of my name and it keeps rejecting the signature.
I do not know where to find what Amazon thinks is my correct signature. Because of this, Amazon will reject my certificate of proof of insurance which lists in the “Insured” section the name of my actual business and not my personal name. So in Amazon’s perspective, the name on this “Insured” section does not match the information in the Legal Business Name, so they will reject this certificate and tell me to tell the insurance company to correct it. However, the insurance company (Simply Business) refuses to change the information in the “Insured” section because their records must show that the Insured name matches records with the state.
The end result of this is Amazon will show me as not having proof of liability insurance and I will face consequences for that even though I am willing to buy insurance and trying my best to prove I have done so.
