We have shipped a total of 22 boxes to Amazon. All were the same size boxes but 4 got flagged as being over sized. The measurement of the box is (w)70x(h)41x(d)25cm. In the defect report they have flagged it for being over sized and have indicated the height as being 70cm while the maximum should be 63.5. This has happened for 4 boxes out of 22.
What would you recommend I do? Also does anyone know the maximum weight a box can be?
My product weight is 160g and I usually send approx 24-25 per box.
Amazon’s maximum box dimensions for standard shipments are typically 63.5 cm on any side, so if Amazon flagged only 4 out of 22 boxes with the height listed as 70 cm, it’s possible they measured them incorrectly. You can open a case with Seller Support, provide your box dimensions, and request a remeasurement. If Amazon insists on the flagged dimensions, you may need to adjust your packaging for future shipments to ensure compliance. Regarding weight, Amazon’s maximum per box is usually 23 kg unless it’s a single oversized unit. Since your products are only 160g each, your total box weight is likely well within the limit.
This sometimes happens due to wrapping tapes and certain edges. Ask Amazon to recheck the measurements, otherwise, there’s no further solution at this point.
You need to redesign the box so that all sides are less than 63.5 cm. As for weight, as long as the total box weight (including product and packaging) is less than 22.7 kg, it will be fine, but it must meet Amazon’s current standards.
