I am starting this journey of Amazon FBA

Hello everyone,

I would like to hear your opinion about something, this might be really basic stuff, so, I want to sell in Amazon well-known brands products, I know that you must unlock the certain brand to be able to sell the products, im fine to this point. The thing is, if you are creating your own personal brand, and you are going to sell for example, compression socks, then, do you have to create your own packaging for that? I mean, you are selling a third party product, but you sell it under the name of your personal brand and it’s packaging and presentation. Like, If I buy a pair of sneakers, I would like to get them in their original box, so that’s why im confussed and don’t know the point of doing that…(sorry I know its a long text for a simple question)

If you’re reselling well-known brands, you’ll need to stick with their original packaging since customers expect that. But for your own brand, like compression socks, you’d create your own packaging to reflect your brand’s identity. It’s a bit different but gives you more control.

Have you decided if you’re going the reselling route or building your own brand?

When selling under your own personal brand, such as compression socks, you’re essentially launching a private label product, which does require creating your own packaging and branding. However, this is different from selling well-known third-party brands, where products should remain in their original packaging to maintain authenticity and customer trust. Mixing the two approaches can confuse customers and violate Amazon’s policies, so it’s important to decide whether you want to focus on building your personal brand or reselling established brands, as each has distinct strategies and requirements.
