I am selling two very similar items, and when I created the shipment, I selected Item 1 instead of Item 2. As a result, Item 1 has not been found and is marked as missing from the shipment. I raised a case for the missing units, explaining what happened, but they don’t seem to understand and are asking for proof of purchase for Item 1, which I never sent.
The main issue I’m facing is that the 30 units of Item 2 I actually sent are nowhere to be found in Amazon’s inventory. They briefly appeared as ‘Other’ in the inventory shortly after the shipment was scanned, but still haven’t shown up under stranded inventory.
Get “proof of delivery” from your supplier and provide it to Amazon to claim the ownership of additional units you sent. Once amazon staff find those units and accept your ownership, you will have to proceed further to link those units to your listing.
You should receive an email from Amazon regarding these excess units that have not been ‘added’ to the shipment, and they should appear in stranded. Hmm, has the shipment been closed?
Provide a clear explanation and evidence by explaining the mistake, including screenshots, and proving that you sent the correct items. Regularly monitor stranded inventory, check frequently, and contact Amazon support if needed. If the items are still missing, relist them by creating new listings. If necessary, escalate the case by contacting a higher-level Amazon representative. Finally, learn from the mistake and prevent future errors by double-checking your selections.
