I have a question. As an Amazon seller using the wholesale model, if I am trying to sell a certain product (for example, a water filter from brand X1), can I create my own listing and sell that water filter, or do I have to sell it under the main brand/company listing?

if you are selling through the wholesale model, you normally sell the product under the existing brand listing rather than creating your own separate listing. Amazon’s catalog system is designed so that one product has one main ASIN, and multiple sellers compete on that same listing. So if the water filter from brand X1 already exists on Amazon, you would usually add your offer to that existing ASIN instead of creating a duplicate listing.
Creating your own listing for the exact same branded product is generally not allowed unless you are the brand owner or have authorization to create a variation or updated listing for that brand. Duplicate listings can be removed by Amazon and may also create intellectual property or catalog policy issues.
The only time you would normally create your own listing is if the product does not already exist on Amazon, if you are the actual brand owner, or if you are selling a unique bundle or private label version that is genuinely different from the existing branded product.
