Hundreds of sales...but no reviews in 2024. How do brands get 100+ reviews?

My SKU has been on FBA for 3 years and I only have 68 reviews. 40 from Vine. None in 2024. Current rating is 4.2.

I’ve requested reviews through the official request method hundreds of times. I also have an insert.

I’ve got over 115 subscribers, an 88% repeat purchase rate, and some customers have bought over 20 times! Yet I can’t convince anyone to leave a review.

What do you suggest I do?

They never leave reviews. If you see listings with reviews, they are bought.

To boost reviews, consider optimizing your insert by adding a QR code linking directly to the review page, ensuring it’s engaging and encourages feedback without violating Amazon’s policies. Highlight the importance of reviews in your email communications or follow-ups with repeat customers, emphasizing how their feedback helps improve the product. Experiment with personalized messaging for subscribers, expressing gratitude for their loyalty and subtly requesting reviews. Also, ensure your “Request a Review” timing aligns with moments when customers are likely most satisfied, such as shortly after using your product.

That’s utter rubbish. I’ve never bought a review and havce hundreds over the past 12 years of trading on amazon

Hello @Abstracted,

thank you for joining the forum! When it comes to product reviews, from my experience, if you are not doing anything, some listings will attract hundreds or even thousands of reviews, while others just won’t.

I have a listing which I created in 2015 as one of my first products and never looked back at it. The listing became my best seller and now has almost 3000 reviews, despite me never soliciting them.

Then, I have listings which sold thousands of units and don’t have any reviews, where I would really appreciate them.

If you see a listing for a Chinese trinket, which generates wall of reviews, which are posted shortly after launch and include detailed pictures and videos, you can be certain these are bought. Genuine buyers don’t take this much time to leave reviews for a newly launched and especially an unbranded generic Chinese trinket.

Then, there are listings which naturally attract reviews.

If your listing isn’t attracting reviews, you can use Amazon Vine, as you already mentioned, or alternatively, you can try including cards or notes with each order asking for reviews. You can include these inside the packaging of the products if they are FBA.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to post here whenever you need help.
