Most sellers either ignore them, stop selling the specific brand, or consult with an attorney if they feel it’s worth challenging. Some sellers have reported sending a carefully worded response asserting their rights under the first sale doctrine and never hearing back. While there are rare cases of follow-up legal threats, actual lawsuits from Vorys are uncommon, especially for small-scale resellers.
They go in the trash. It’s scare tactics. There is nothing illegal with reselling as long as the product is authentic and the same or better warranty is provided.
