How many listings are normally need to achieve good returns with arbitrage and wholesale models?

Someone who is working on OA and wholesale model on a bigger level, how many active listings do you have to achieve your desired returns?

What do you mean by “your desired returns”?

Everyone usually has goals and targets.

Lets say mine is to get ROI of 28%.

Whats usual number of listings sellers usually do?

Seen people have 10 listings with 10k investment but someone who have 50k pool of investment do you focus on having more listings?

Ahh, I got it now.

The number of listings, as you know, differs from seller to seller. There is no standard number . Regarding the ROI, I work on margins, and as a general rule, I do not buy anything below a 10% net margin.

I have a mixture of fast and slow-selling products. For fast-selling products, I am okay with less profit per sale and higher competition, but for products which are slow sellers, I want a higher profit and low competition.

In over 27 years of selling on Amazon, I’ve had only three returns. Only one of those returns was due to something that was my fault, a messed up description of a book. Other two returns were at the buyer’s request. To me, that is more than an acceptable return rate. Ideally, the return rate should be zero, but we all know that it’s unlikely to ever happen.
