How long is the period until sales are final?

Hey everyone,

I used to sell a product a while back, but my last sale was over 18 months ago. This week, Amazon notified me that the product is being recalled, and they’re suggesting that we might have to refund all previous orders. Is that even possible? How long before sales are considered final? It’s been so long, and I doubt customers even have the product anymore, as it’s been out of circulation for quite a while.

Amazon is also asking whether I want to “Opt-in” or “Opt-out” of their recall logistics service, but as far as I know, there aren’t any products left with customers. Can refunds still be issued without the product being returned?

Any advice would be appreciated!

There was such thing a few years ago with Kinder brand. Many sellers lost a lot of money. There was no way to fix this because Amazon refunded all the customers. Check the forum for more info I believe there will be also the time frame given.

Opt-in the service and email the responsible person and then message every single customer to stop using it.

They should of sent you an email to send to CPSC and they need a follow up of everything you send them. Just follow the instructions on the email. No need to refund customers unless you instructed to do so.
