Hi, are there any Amazon FBA wholesale experts here?

I successfully created my Amazon seller account one month ago. However, I am still struggling to launch my first product. The main problem is brand approval. So far, one brand has approved me to sell on Amazon, but their minimum order requirement is $2,000. The issue is that only one Amazon listing is making sales, and the seller competition is too high, so I decided not to proceed with it.

Some other brands also approved me, but they do not allow selling on third-party marketplaces such as Amazon. They said I can sell their products on my own website or in a physical store, but not on Amazon.

Now my concern is this: if an Amazon listing either requires brand approval to add products or is completely open for sellers to join, but the brand itself has not approved me, if I still buy the product from a Faire.com supplier or directly from the brand and add my offer to the listing, will this work?

I wouldn’t risk that. Even if a listing looks open, if the brand restricts Amazon sales and you list anyway, you can face IP complaints or account issues later. Wholesale on Amazon really depends on brand permission + proper invoices. Buying from Faire without approval usually won’t hold up. Focus on brands that clearly allow Amazon resale.

Don’t list products without brand approval if Amazon is asking for it, even if you buy from Faire or a supplier. It can be seen as unauthorised selling and cause issues. If a brand doesn’t allow Amazon sales, just skip it and focus on brands that clearly permit FBA resale.
