Announcement reposted from Amazon Japan:
- Are you aware of the multiple listing policies that require your compliance? You could possibly violate a policy without knowing it, and policy violations can lead to enforcement action at the account or listing level. To prevent this, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with our listing policies.
For quick reference, here are two of the most common listing violations:
- Intellectual Property: Listing items that do not comply with the Amazon Intellectual Property policy, governing Copyright, Trademark, Patent, etc., is a violation.
Amazon takes claims of intellectual property infringement seriously. Even if you are infringing on someone’s intellectual property without knowledge, we are still required to take action, and your account could receive a warning or suspension.
To address many of Amazon’s policy violations, you must submit copies of invoices from your suppliers. See “What to do if your account receives a warning or suspension.”
- Product Safety : You are responsible for ensuring that your products are safe and in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, standards, practices, and Amazon regulations. You may need to work with your manufacturer or importer to obtain the required compliance information.
Visit our help page to determine which of your products require approval or are considered restricted products.
