Also, if you’re Ungated in brands in the US marketplace, will you automatically be Ungated in those same brands in the UK or do you have to get Ungated for each and every brand all over again?
You have to ungate the same product in each market.
I know some people from the USA who started selling there using companies like DHL and UPS.
Nope, you’ll have to get ungated again. Basically, you’re starting fresh since it’s a new account.
What do you mean DHL/UPS? I’m referring to companies who help get all of the proper paperwork and compliances. VAT/EORI and all of the paperwork stuff that gets a US seller properly registered. Not really sure where to begin so those companies seem like they could be quite helpful.
You need to start again, and you’ll need to register a VAT business. You can use any accountant in the UK to help with the registration. For transportation, I use UPS freight forwarding. You’ll also need to open a new account with Wise to receive foreign currency. For now, focus on setting up the accountant and Wise account.
You don’t need a VAT/EORI unless you intend to store your inventory in local FBA warehouses in the UK.
Also, as other say, your international Amazon Seller Accounts are completely separate and will be deemed new, unestablished stores with no past performance history.
