I claimed for VAT collected on sellers fees, after 9 months Amz latest email says they’re refunding amount claim…“PENDING external authorisation”. Has anyone who claimed for VAT refund receive similar email? If so what does ‘external authorisation’ mean? And how long did it take from receiving this email to getting the funds?
Only a guess but I’d imagine that external auth is varifiying with the vat office to make sure you can claim it
Following in same situation but I look like your 9months ahead of me
They will ask for your VAT certificate with all the correct addresses, if you’ve moved the the claim period. On the Amz sellers forum I have seen it takes 11 weeks to 2 years!
