Has anyone received the Amazon barcode change email?

If I change the SKU now, can I send new inventory with the new SKU, or should I wait until March 31st?

If I change my SKU now, what will happen to my existing FBA inventory?

Change the SKU old stock stays, new stock needs new FNSKU labels.

If you change the SKU now, the old inventory will remain under the old SKU, and any new inventory will need new FNSKU labels. Otherwise, you can wait until March 31st or manage both separately due to Amazon’s commingling changes.

Regarding whether you can ship new inventory using the new SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) now:

If you are a brand seller and your products have a Global Trade Item Number (e.g., UPC), you can theoretically ship new inventory with the new SKU after modifying the SKU now. This is because brand sellers will not need to affix Amazon barcodes to maintain independent inventory afterward.

However, if you are a non-brand seller, it is recommended to wait until after March 31st to ship new inventory using the new SKU. The reason is that starting from March 31st, non-brand sellers must affix Amazon barcodes to all products before shipping them for warehouse storage.

Shipping in advance may lead to issues such as delayed warehouse acceptance due to label-related problems.
