Has anyone noticed an increase in SDS requests?

It’s driving me mad, none for almost a year, then 8 in a month with all inventory pulled?

Also it can be sometimes impossible to get the SDS info, so I would really appreciate advice.

Yes, this is mainly due to Amazon tightening its hazardous goods and compliance checks rather than anything specific to your account. Amazon uses automated systems to flag products that may contain liquids, chemicals, batteries, or certain ingredients, and once flagged, it requires an SDS or exemption sheet to determine if the product is safe for storage and transport.

This means even products that were previously fine can suddenly trigger a request because Amazon is reclassifying listings or updating its internal rules, and the system can be overly cautious, flagging items that are not actually hazardous.

The best approach is to make sure your supplier can provide a compliant SDS that matches your product exactly, or submit an exemption sheet if the product is non-hazardous, as this is now becoming a standard part of selling, especially with FBA.
