No, I’ve closed Canada and Mexico for tax purposes. When they were open, both had very limited sales, and I realized the tax process was far more hassle than the sales were worth. Since closing them, they’re no longer active.

Yes, some sellers do make money on Amazon Mexico through FBA and Remote Fulfillment, but results vary widely depending on the product category, demand, and pricing. Mexico has a smaller customer base compared to the US, but it’s growing, and Remote Fulfillment allows you to sell there without needing local inventory or VAT registration, which makes it low-risk. That said, competition is thinner and certain niches perform better than others—consumables, electronics accessories, and household items tend to do well. You might get slower sales, but since the setup is already done through Remote Fulfillment, it’s worth testing and monitoring for profitability.

And where the returns go?

Most likely in Mexico.

I had problems. I put a few items at what I though was a premium price. A couple of sold items. But, lost most of it on the foreign exchange rate. So, I discontinued my Mexican sales. Figured it would take too much time to actually figure out my ROl before I sold.

(And, was not 100% sure what the exchange rate was through Amazon.)

Returns are not sent back to the US, they go to Amazon in Mexico. If the returned item is sellable, Amazon adds it to your local (Mexico) inventory. And otherwise, it gets disposed of, and you’ll need to request to cancel the order.

The population difference is huge, but in my experience, Amazon is a little bit more lenient in Mexico compared to the US. Competition is lower, giving you a great opportunity to gain market share.
