I was going to my order transactions and noticed something weird. Amazon hasnt been charging me any FBA fees on some my own bundle listing orders. Out of 68 orders, amazon deducted FBA fees on only 43 orders of 1 of the effected ASINs.
Confirmed it from seller central transactions details and sellerboard order report as well.
this usually happens when Amazon deducts Marketplace Facilitator Tax from the order total before calculating your payout, and many sellers initially think they are being charged incorrectly because the fee breakdown looks confusing. In your screenshot, the customer paid product price plus tax, but Amazon collected and withheld the sales tax directly on behalf of the state, which is why the “Marketplace Withheld Tax” appears as a negative line item.
The referral fee is then calculated on the item price itself, not on the tax amount, so your final payout is the sale amount minus the referral fee while the tax portion never actually becomes your revenue.
This is normal behavior in marketplaces where Amazon is legally required to collect and remit sales tax automatically, and it does not mean Amazon is charging you twice or taking extra money beyond the normal referral fee structure.
