Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?

Hello,

I’m facing an error on Amazon. I was originally selling as an individual seller on Amazon UK, but then I received an email from Amazon saying I had selected the wrong entity when creating the account.

A page appeared showing all my information, and it asked me to either update or confirm, so I clicked confirm. After that, I registered my LTD company and went to Business > Account Information to update my legal entity.

However, I keep getting an error saying “something went wrong, try again.” I contacted Seller Support, and they said the account is under verification and it might take up to 10 days. I understand that part, but the error message still showing up makes me wonder if there’s something to worry about.

It could be one of many reasons or no reason at all. All you can do is continue to pester Seller Support, hoping that you eventually hit on someone that knows what they are doing.

Also, be aware that verification can take forever. 10 days means nothing in Amazon world.

Try a different browser.

Hmm, if they said it’s under verification and you need to wait, then just wait it out. If nothing happens after 10 days, contact them again. No need to panic, you’re going to be okay.

It sounds like your account is currently stuck in the verification phase after transitioning from an individual to a business (LTD) entity, which is fairly common when updating legal details on Amazon. The “something went wrong, try again” error is usually a frontend issue that happens during this verification window when the system prevents changes or account access until internal checks are complete. If Seller Support has confirmed that your account is under review and there’s no action needed from your side, you likely don’t need to worry, as long as you’ve submitted accurate documentation and haven’t received any rejection emails. Just keep monitoring your performance notifications and case log in case Amazon requests anything further, and wait out the verification period.

Thank you for your guidance.

I’ve seen similar cases before, and it’s usually nothing to panic about. When Amazon flags an issue with your legal entity, they often put the account under verification, which can take some time. The “something went wrong” error might just be a system glitch while they’re processing your details.

Since Seller Support already confirmed that it’s under review, I’d recommend giving it the 10 days they mentioned. In the meantime, keep an eye on your emails in case they request any additional documents. Also, if the error persists after verification is complete, clearing your cache or trying a different browser sometimes helps.

You’re definitely not alone in this, Amazon’s verification process can be tricky, especially when switching from individual to business. Hope this helps! Let us know how it goes.
