GLITCH or new amazon policy? "Details" link next to seller's offer no longer clickable!

Example:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00S1ISKLO
There’s only 1 offer, NOT new, yet when I try to click the tiny link “Details” (next to the offer), it’s no longer clickable.

In the past a used camera would usually show a paragraph of description and details… now inaccessible.

First (since about 6 or 8 months ago), my own photos are removed from sight; now (noticed in the past 2 or 3 weeks) my descriptions as well (unless there are other offers, then you can see them all.

And no notification or announcement from Amazon about either.

Glitch? New policy? Thanks.

You are right, I just tried to click on it, even added it into basket. There is no description whatsoever.

Since the clickable hyperlink is still there, it must be a technical issue. Amazon is constantly experimenting.

Personally, I would not even offer used items through Amazon, as it’s risky. I would put them on eBay.

Many thanks for your reply Kika.
You’re right that it’s become riskier and riskier over the past few years to sell used…However, most of my stock of pricey collectibles is used (it doesn’t sell half as well on ebay).

I have now found this link showing that the problem had already been reported on Amazon.com (US as opposed to -uk where I am) 9 months ago: https:// Offer Condition Note
( “I am unsure whether this is a glitch just for me, a glitch Amazon wide, or a change but the field “Offer Condition Note” is not being displayed to customers next to sellers listings on product pages”…).

So I think it may be one more policy to push away small sellers of the odd used vintage thing… It’s a disaster for my shop.
Crazy that they don’t even tell us about it.

It’s not just you. They are also gating most brands from non-US sellers.

I believe that what Amazon wants to achieve is a platform where all brands, including the largest and most reputable brands sell directly to consumers.

If you are a private label seller, this kind of business will thrive on the platform, unless you get sabotaged by Chinese black hat sellers copying your products.

Better sell anything used on eBay. It’s not worth the hassle.
